RfP for DataPACT Project

The Malta IT Law Association (MITLA) is excited to invite you to respond to the attached RFP for the DataPACT Project – funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme. MITLA is seeking dedicated partners to deliver legal services to fulfil the project deliverables.

DataPACT addresses the critical challenges posed by complex, data-driven AI systems, focusing on compliance with major regulations, ethical considerations, and environmental impact. Key regulations in review include GDPR, Data Governance Act, Data Act, and the Artificial Intelligence Act. MITLA’s role centres on delivering legal research and guidance to ensure responsible AI and data usage, aligning with Europe’s sustainable goals.

  • International Collaboration: Partner with notable organisations, including SINTEF AS (Norway), Philips Medical Systems (Netherlands), University of Southampton (UK), and others across Europe, fostering knowledge exchange and collaborative innovation.
  • Flexible Work Structure: The response allows you to assign resources who will work remotely and occasionally travel to engage in consortium meetings across Europe.
  • Financial Scope: Competitive remuneration with specific budgets allocated for personnel costs (up to €270,000), travel expenses (up to €25,000), and contingencies (up to €15,000), as specified in the RFP.
